UFC’s main event on Friday will be a battle of Mighty Mouse vs. Uncle Creepy. These are the two respective nicknames of Demetrius Johnson and Ian McCall. Both competitors have a combined record of 25 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws in MMA Competition. This should make for an interesting matchup in which one competitor will take that all-important next step to title glory. This fight is a rematch of their bout that ended in a draw three months ago. The winner of this fight will advance to the finals of the flyweight tournament and earn a date with Joseph Benavidez.

Demetrius Johnson is currently the #3 ranked flyweight in the world according to Sherdog magazine. He is also in the bantamweight division. He is looking to get back in the win column after his aforementioned draw to Ian McCall as well as a loss to Dominick Cruz in a battle for the UFC bantamweight championship in October 2011. McCall has been an MMA fighter for 10 years and has competed in MMA promotions such as World Extreme Cagefighting and Tachi Palace Fights. Like Johnson, Ian McCall also has a loss on his record against Dominick Cruz in a 2009 fight in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion. He is the top-ranked flyweight according to Sherdog magazine. He was propelled to the top-spot due to a victory over Jussier Da Silva in his flyweight debut last year.
